It is great sadness that we have to announce the death of Ken Baxter, a former Chairman of Chartridge Parish Council. He served for many years on the council and worked tirelessly for the Parish and Bellingdon Village Hall, as well as doing a lot of charity work with his Blue Pines Railway, which ran around his garden at his home, Blue Pines, Bellingdon.
He no longer lived in the Parish having moved to Northampton, however Cllr Derek Keen recalls that it was Ken Baxter who got him involved with the Parish Council all those years ago and says that if anything needed doing, Ken was the man!
